A BOID (Beneficial Owner ID) is the unique number assigned to your Demat account by CDSC through a depository participant. Every share you own in Nepal is held electronically against this ID.
How you get one
- Open a Demat account with a depository participant.
- Complete your KYC.
- Your BOID is issued and linked to your Demat account.
Why it matters
You need your BOID to apply for IPOs on MeroShare, to receive shares you buy through your broker, and to transfer shares using DIS or eDIS.
