Frequently asked questions
What is a margin call?
If the value of your pledged shares falls and your margin drops below the required maintenance level, we will ask you to add funds or shares. If the margin is not restored in time, the shares may be sold to cover the loan.
Which shares can I buy on margin?
Only listed securities that meet SEBON's eligibility rules and our approved list. Contact us for the current list.
Margin trading increases both gains and losses. Pledged shares may be sold if a margin call is not met. Interest rates, margin levels and eligible scrips are subject to SEBON rules and company policy and may change.
